Tax Garnishment Appeal Process

The court has garnished your Louisiana State Income Tax Refund due to outstanding fees or fines owed to the court.  To appeal this garnishment please select the TAX APPEAL FORM below and submit it by one of the following methods:

1. Fax to (985) 310-9750

2. Email to:  bcoxen@21stjdc.org

3. Drop off at a Collections Office located in one of the three parish courthouses

4. Mail to:  Tax Garnishment Appeal, PO Box 788, Amite, LA  70422. 

Please attach any receipts or paperwork that you may have.  

The appeals process can take up to 60 days from the time of your garnishment.
